On offer is a collectable Beswick Pottery Grand Ball dish, finished in a green glaze and modelled in the form of an ornate cabbage leaf. A distinctive feature of this Beswick Grand Ball cabbage leaf dish is the raised open book motif, listing the dances to be performed at the ball, adding both charm and historical interest to the design.

Founded in Staffordshire in 1894, Beswick became one of Britain’s most respected pottery manufacturers, renowned for quality ceramics and highly detailed moulded wares. This example displays the intricate relief decoration and craftsmanship associated with the factory’s decorative pieces. The dish is in good condition with no chips or cracks. There are a few minor areas where the glaze has not fully covered the edges, which occurred during production, along with two small stains visible within the bowl.

A charming Beswick Grand Ball cabbage leaf dish that offers excellent display appeal and a fine example of Beswick decorative pottery.
