Porcelain Vase Chinese Republic Period Floral Bird Decoration
£75.00
On offer is a Chinese porcelain vase attributed to the Republic period between 1912 and 1949. The rounded white body is decorated with flowering peonies, leafy branches and two birds in flight, accompanied by a vertical calligraphic inscription.
The colourful decoration combines purple, yellow, green and orange enamels against a white ground. Peonies traditionally represent prosperity and honour within Chinese art, while paired birds can convey harmony.
