The plate shows a finely chased mythological scene with a dancing satyr to the left, his gaze turned toward a robed maenad who holds a thyrsus and tambourine. Beneath them are cymbals, an animal skin with grapes and fruit, and a pedum, with additional details including a syrinx and a lidded vessel above. The craftsmanship reflects the rich iconography of late Roman silverwork. Condition is good with plate wear consistent with age and handling. The diameter is a little over 7 inches.
