On offer is a collectible brass trench art lighter depicting a jet aircraft. The hinged jet form lifts to reveal the striking and lighting compartment beneath, reflecting the inventive and symbolic designs often found in trench art pieces made from utilitarian materials. The lighter is stamped Tested on the side, indicating it was functional at some point in its history.

Trench art refers to decorative and functional objects made from military related materials, often produced during or after periods of conflict. Such pieces were frequently adapted into personal items such as lighters, combining souvenir value with practical use. This example is offered as a restoration project, as the pin holding the striking wheel is missing, along with the striking wheel itself, and there is also a screw missing from the base. Please refer to the images to assess what is required to return it to working condition. The lighter stands at approximately 4 inches tall. A characterful example of trench art with strong historical interest.
