Brass Chinese Animal Figurines Second Half 20th Century Group
£45.00
On offer is a finely cast group of Chinese brass animal figurines comprising a pair of Dogs of Foo, a tiger, and a dragon-and-tortoise seal, all dating to the second half of the 20th century. Each piece is well detailed, showcasing traditional Chinese symbolic forms such as guardian lions and the dragon-tortoise, a creature often associated with strength and protection in Chinese art. The brass casting is crisp and consistent across the group, reflecting good workshop craftsmanship of the period.
The tiger is the largest at 2.5 inches in length, with the two Dogs of Foo measuring approximately 30mm by 30mm, and the seal standing around 35mm tall. All are in good condition. A well-made, characterful collection of Chinese brass figures that offers both decorative appeal and cultural interest.
