Designed by Arthur Gredington, this Beswick Budgerigar figurine demonstrates the detailed modelling and lifelike decoration for which the Staffordshire pottery became known. Model 1216 was introduced during the mid 20th century and remains a popular Beswick bird figure.

The underside is impressed with the model number 1216 and the name Budgerigar, together with the Beswick England factory mark.
