On offer is an antique Limit No 2 pocket watch retailed by Badman and Co of Coleford and Monmouth. It has a white enamel dial with bold Roman numerals, blued steel hands and a subsidiary seconds dial positioned at six o’clock, all housed within a substantial nickel case.

The Limit name was registered in Britain by Hirst Brothers in 1917 and became associated with reliable Swiss made watches supplied to the British market. This Limit No 2 pocket watch was running when tested, although its accuracy and running duration have not been assessed.
