Attwood & Sawyer Prince of Wales Three Feathers Brooch 1970s

£120.00

On offer is a 1970s Attwood & Sawyer Prince of Wales Three Feathers brooch, a striking piece of vintage costume jewellery inspired by the famous jewel designed by Edward VIII for Wallis Simpson. Attwood & Sawyer, founded in the mid-20th century, became known for producing high-quality, regal-inspired jewellery with rich detailing and brilliant stones. The reverse is clearly signed A & S.

This large brooch is beautifully crafted with brilliant pavé and baguette-style stones set in silver-tone and gold-tone metalwork. It measures approximately 3 × 2.5 inches and is in very good condition, with only light age-related wear.
(The original jewel, on which this design was based, was later purchased at auction by Elizabeth Taylor in 1987.)
