On offer is an Arts and Crafts period copper jug with a tapered body, hinged lid, long spout and curved handle. The front is decorated with a large embossed flower and foliage design, complemented by a rich, naturally aged copper patina.

The jug is unmarked but is attributed to Joseph Sankey and Sons, a British manufacturer known for decorative copperware featuring embossed designs. As no maker’s mark is present, the attribution cannot be stated as certain.

The jug is in good antique condition with surface wear, patination and a couple of dents, all shown clearly in the photographs. An attractive example of an Arts and Crafts copper jug with plenty of period character.
