Produced by Burgess & Leigh in the early 20th century, Burleigh Ware figural jugs of this period are well known for their bold modelling, vibrant colours and strong character presence. This example shows Turpin forming the handle, with a stagecoach scene moulded in relief around the body.

The jug stands at approximately 8 inches tall and is in good condition, showing only the typical light wear to the black enamel often seen on these pieces. There are no chips or cracks, and the colours remain bright and appealing. The underside carries the expected Burleigh Ware mark.
