On offer is an Art Deco British pressed glass bowl produced by Sowerby in pattern 2614, designed with distinctive elephant-head and trunk handles. This example is made in light green glass and is presented on its accompanying black glass base. Sowerby, founded in 1847 in Gateshead, became one of Britain’s leading glasshouses, well known for its coloured pressed glass and innovative moulded designs throughout the late 19th and early 20th centuries.

The bowl stands at approximately 4 inches tall when placed on the base and measures around 6.5 inches wide. Condition is good with minor age-related wear, showing the charm expected from original Art Deco pressed glass.
