Antique Victorian Engraved Glass Tazza Nineteenth Century
£55.00
On offer is a beautiful antique Victorian engraved glass tazza dating to circa 1870 to 1880. This elegant nineteenth century glass tazza features delicate engraved fern decoration to the dish, raised on a finely shaped pedestal stem with a wide circular foot.
Victorian engraved glass was highly prized during the nineteenth century, with botanical and fern motifs becoming especially fashionable during the Victorian fascination with nature and fern collecting known as Pteridomania. The finely engraved decoration and elegant proportions give this tazza a refined decorative presence.
The tazza stands approximately 6.25 inches tall with a diameter of 7 inches. It is offered in good condition with no chips or cracks.
A fine example of Victorian engraved glass that would display beautifully in any antique glass or period interior collection.
