On offer is an antique sterling silver fob medal made by Edward Smith and hallmarked at Chester in 1923. The openwork design features a laurel wreath surrounding a shield with engraved decoration and an applied rose gold monogram.
Edward Smith worked from Augusta Street in Birmingham and registered his mark at the Chester Assay Office in 1894. His mark is recorded on brooches, fob medals and spoons made during the early twentieth century.
