On offer is an antique Victorian cast iron picture frame with an ormolu finish, richly decorated with scrolling foliate motifs typical of 19th century decorative metalwork. Frames of this type were produced to add an ornate and architectural presence to interior displays, often influenced by earlier Rococo revival design.

The frame retains its original aged patina, giving it an authentic antique appearance with crisp cast detailing throughout. It has been fitted with new glass and a new backing card, making it ready for use. The overall frame measures approximately 12 inches by 9 inches, with a display aperture of approximately 6 inches by 4 inches. Condition is very good for its age, with no cracks or damage to the cast iron. A strong and decorative antique cast iron picture frame that brings character and period detail to any interior.
