On offer is an antique Japanese Imari plate, hand-painted in vivid cobalt blue, iron red and gilt enamels, and bearing a spurious Ming Chenghua mark to the reverse — a customary homage to earlier Chinese imperial porcelain found on many Japanese pieces from the late Edo to Meiji periods. The decoration features traditional Imari motifs, including stylised florals, foliate panels, and a central swirling design, all executed with fine detail.

The plate measures approximately 9 inches in diameter. Condition is fair with a visible star crack to the centre, shown clearly in the images. Despite this flaw, it remains an appealing example of antique Japanese Imari ware.
