£45.00

On offer is an antique English Victorian sterling silver vase hallmarked for London 1888 and made by John Septimus Beresford. Beresford was an active late 19th-century London silversmith known for producing decorative hollowware with refined repoussé ornament. This example features an elegant tapering form with finely worked floral repoussé decoration. It stands just under 4.5 inches tall and retains clear hallmarks to the base. Condition is good overall, with the top and bottom rims slightly out of shape and the base weighted with lead, as is typical for small display vases of the period.
