On offer is an original nineteenth century English Victorian Staffordshire ironstone cheese dish and cover. Its unusual triangular form is decorated with colourful floral and berry sprays, moulded ribbing and gilt details.
The cover is finished with a distinctive moulded dragon finial that also serves as the handle. Staffordshire was a major centre of English pottery production throughout the Victorian period. This Victorian Staffordshire ironstone cheese dish is in good condition with expected crazing and minor gilt wear.
