On offer is an Art Deco pottery rocket vase from the distinctive Alienware / Crackleware range designed by Ditmar Urbach in the 1930s. Urbach’s Czech pottery is well known for its bold shapes and imaginative designs, with the Alienware series among the most sought-after for its futuristic, sculptural forms and characteristic crackle-glazed finish.
This example features the classic rocket-shaped body with applied black details and a textured crackle surface. It stands at approximately 10.5 inches tall. Condition is good for its age, with one small, very old chip on the foot rim as shown in the images.
