19th Century Victorian Penny Lick Ice Cream Glass (1)
On offer here is a victorian 19th-century penny lick ice cream glass. the penny lick was used by vendors during the victorian era. the ice cream was sold and licked out of the glass and then the glass would be returned to the vendor. with tuberculosis etc these were banned in the early 20th century making them very collectible. this glass is a nice example, it measures at approx 3 inches tall. the glass has three rough areas on the stem where it joins the bowl and foot however as these were cheaply made this is quite normal. please see the images.
