£ 145.00
On offer is a rare 19th-century hand painted porcelain cup and saucer by George Jones, dating to around 1876. George Jones & Sons, established in Staffordshire in the mid-19th century, produced some of the finest English porcelain of the Victorian era, admired for its refined shapes, exquisite decoration and distinctive handle designs. This example features detailed botanical and insect motifs, executed with exceptional Victorian artistry.
The cup has a pink-glazed interior and the characteristic George Jones triangular (7-shaped) handle. The saucer echoes the naturalistic decoration in matching colours and fine gilding. A beautifully decorated and collectible George Jones porcelain set with strong historical appeal.
