19th Century Copeland Porcelain Cake Stand with Floral Painting
£ 95.00
On offer is a fine 19th-century Copeland porcelain cake stand, dating to around c.1880. The piece is crafted in white porcelain with a fluted rim and raised pedestal foot, all richly finished with hand-painted floral garlands and gilt highlights. Copeland, an esteemed English pottery formerly known as Spode, was celebrated throughout the Victorian period for its refined porcelain and delicate hand-painted decoration.
The plate surface and pedestal are decorated in detailed enamel flowers in soft tones of blue, pink, and green, with an unusually painted underside — a rare feature that reflects the high level of craftsmanship. It measures approximately 9 inches across and 4.5 inches tall and remains in excellent antique condition with no chips, cracks, or repairs.
A charming example of Victorian Copeland porcelain that brings character and authenticity to any display.
