Staffordshire Pottery Cow Creamer Circa 1860 Nineteenth Century

£ 65.00

On offer is a nineteenth century Staffordshire pottery cow creamer dating to around 1860. This is an unmarked example, typical of the many small potteries working in the Staffordshire region at the time, where cow creamers were a popular domestic novelty and produced in a wide variety of hand-painted forms. The model is well shaped with coloured patches, a green base, and gilt touches to the horns.

The condition is very good with no chips, cracks, or restoration, and it retains its original lid. There is expected age-related wear, including some rubbing to the gilding on the horns. The creamer measures approximately 6.5 inches in length and 4.5 inches in height. A fine and honest example of mid-nineteenth-century Staffordshire pottery.
