Chinese Porcelain Cup Tek Sing Cargo 19th Century

£25.00

On offer is a 19th century Chinese porcelain cup recovered from the Tek Sing cargo, the famous shipwreck that sank in February 1822. Almost two centuries old, this small cup represents the everyday export porcelain carried aboard the Tek Sing as it journeyed from China before its tragic loss in the South China Sea. Artefacts from the wreck provide a tangible link to early 19th-century Chinese ceramic production and maritime trade.

The cup measures approximately 3 inches in diameter and 1.25 inches in height. It survives in good condition with no chips or cracks, displaying the characteristic glaze and form associated with the Tek Sing cargo wares.
