On offer is a 1960s Caithness Glass cylinder vase in the rich purple Heather colourway, designed by Domhnall ÓBroin. Its tall cylindrical form, clear cased base and restrained Scandinavian influence are characteristic of early Caithness art glass.

Caithness Glass was established in Wick, Scotland, in 1961. ÓBroin’s early designs combined Scandinavian modernism with colours inspired by the Highland landscape. A fine example of mid century Scottish art glass with a strong, elegant form.
