Chinese Porcelain Plate Yongzheng Period 18th Century Blue and White
£125.00
On offer is an 18th-century Chinese export porcelain plate from the Yongzheng period (1722–1735), painted in underglaze blue with a central floral motif and four shaped panels around the border, each finely decorated with further flowers. The rim is dressed in brown, a feature commonly found on early Qing export wares. The porcelain body is notably white and tightly potted, closely comparable to the high-quality paste used during the Kangxi era.
Measuring approximately 10.25 inches in diameter, the plate is in very good condition for its age. It shows a few small rim frits and nibbles typical of early Qing porcelain but has no cracks and no restoration.
A fine Yongzheng period Chinese porcelain plate with strong painting and excellent early 18th-century craftsmanship.
