On offer here is a very rare 1903 pattern bayonet (short). these bayonets were used by the Commando Elite and SAS, they would convert them into a dagger. there is a youtube video talking about the history of these daggers. the 1903 short bayonet is rare on its own having only been produced for four years 1903 – 1907. however, to find one that saw service and then converted to a commando dagger and used by the elite on secret missions makes this a very desirable item. The total length of the bayonet/dagger is 320mm long. It has wear from genuine use and service.
