On offer here is a very heavy and very large Rare Welsh Sarn Oldrich Asenbryl Studio Art Pottery Casket Chest. This example weighs 5.64 kilos unpacked so you can imagine the challenges and work involved in creating this. The size is approx 12 inches long, 8 inches tall, and 8.25 inches wide. This example is signed Painted mark to the base and dated 1986. I have searched the internet and I have found a few pieces by this artist, I have found a couple of small boxes around four inches and some bowls, there is nothing of this size and substance out there at all. in my opinion, this chest should be in a museum for Welsh art.
