On offer here is a very rare 19th century silver on copper charger produced by Elkington and Company. This example is signed to the front. it also has the RD number to the front and the Elkington and Co Plaque on the reverse. This charger is decorated in very high relief depicting an image of Bellerophon riding upon Pegasus surrounded by Cherubs in the clouds. the presentation plaque on the base is still blank so could be dedicated. This charger is very large at approx 16 inches in diameter. the condition is being sold in as found condition, the charger has wear to the silvering and I have not cleaned it. I have left it as original as I could for the next buyer to decide what they want to do when they own it. this is a very rare example by a top name.
