On offer here is a pair of antique circa 1900 french heavy cast iron fire dogs / andirons. these are in the form of french maidens, there is some script, it appears to be Roses De May however it is not clear. these andirons are very heavy, unpacked weight of approx 9.2 kilos. they are in original condition with authentic genuine antique wear, they have not been cleaned or painted. please see the images for full condition. Size approx 16.5 inches long, the bust stands at approx 8 inches tall.
