Here is some form of a box, it has been very over-engineered, and it is a heavy bronze with thick glass panels. after consulting a few friends we have a few ideas about what this item is, it has been painted Black, the over-engineering, the thickness of the glass, etc. so even there there are no markings of any kind on there, We feel it is military, The shape and angle are perfect for a lens, it is a similar shape that you find in an overhead projector but this is far too well made and heavy item in our opinion. If you were to add a mirror it would be the perfect angle to be the lens of a periscope in a tank. It is all questions, the size is approx 5.5 by 5.5 inches.
