On offer here is a stunning and Huge Chinese Ceramic General Guan Yu Mudman Statue By Christopher W. This figure is so impressive and is one of the first in the run of a limited edition of 1500 pieces by Christopher W. The quality of the potting is just amazing and the turquoise color glaze is beautiful. this figure comes with its original wood plinth which is not included in the 45cm size I have quoted, and it comes with its Guandao weapon which was known as the ( Green Dragon Crescent Blade ) produced from an iron shaft and porcelain blade. originally I would think this weapon was glued to the right hand, you could re-glue it should you wish however when it has come loose it has broken off the thumb of the figure, I do not have the broken thumb piece. I am sure one could be made should you wish but honestly the quality and size of this figure means you don’t even see it when it is on display. there is no other damage at all.

Chinese General Guan Yu otherwise known as Yuanhang, was born in 160 AD and is known and worshiped by many religions as The God Of War. He served under the warlord Liu Bei during the Eastern Han Dynasty and formed a brotherly relationship with him. Guan Yu was betrayed and captured which led to his execution in 220 AD. Guan Yu effectively ended the Han Dynasty and set the foundation for Liu Bei state of Shu Han During The Three Kindom Period.
