On offer here is a stunning antique carved soapstone book. I believe the book is meant to represent the bible and used as a good luck charm to keep in your pocket or bag. The gentleman I purchased it off has always believed it was WW1 Trench art, and carved by a soldier. I have not been able to confirm or deny this story. However, I don’t see any other reason to carve a bible. It has wear commensurate to age, it is small at approx 27mm by 22mm. please see the images to help with the condition report.
