Bronze On Marble Paperweight Battle Waterloo Rampant Lion
£ 30.00
On offer here is a Bronze and marble paperweight. This example is after the original bronze lion standing proud on Lions hill in Belgium. The Original Statue is standing in the center of the original battlefield in Brussels and commemorating the Battle of Waterloo on 18th June 1815. This small commemoration paperweight is quite sweet, it has on the top the lion standing proud on top of a plaque that reads Waterloo to the front, and on one end there is MXCCCXV which translates to 1815, and on the other end, there is XVIII Juin which translates to 18th June. This is then mounted on a marble base, the marble base measures at approx 3 by 2 inches and it stands at approx 2.5 inches tall. The condition is good however there is a chip to the marble, please see the images.
