On offer is a beautifully preserved antique sterling silver thimble, fully hallmarked for Chester, England, 1894, and crafted during the reign of Queen Victoria. This exquisite example of 19th-century silverwork is presented in its original fitted case, marked “Stier & Son, Jewellers, New Bond Street”, adding provenance and period charm.

The thimble measures approximately 25mm in height and features an intricately engraved design of repeating foliate and geometric patterns, showing the fine detail and craftsmanship typical of high-quality Victorian-era sewing tools. It bears the maker’s mark “C & Co”, attributed to Cornelius Desormeaux Saunders & James Francis Hollings (Saunders & Hollings Co Ltd)—renowned silversmiths active in the late 19th century.
