On offer here is a 1914 brass tin that was produced and given to the serving soldiers during the first world war, the idea was thought up by princess Mary as she felt all serving soldiers should receive a Christmas present. the tins usually contained tobacco or cigarettes , sweets or chocolate, a Christmas card, pencil, and a picture of princess Mary. this box has some wear commensurate to age but overall in good original condition, size approx 5 by 3.25  inches.
